Master of Science in Nursing

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is an evidence-based nursing program that prepares Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) to provide comprehensive care to individuals and communities.

Our program is the first within a school of social work, providing an advanced degree nursing education that includes a focus on understanding social and environmental factors to enhance patient care. Emphasis is also placed on collaboration with other professions and effecting positive social change.

Students in the MSN program develop skills to deliver high-quality health care services, including diagnosis and treatment plans, interpreting lab and diagnostic results, prescribing medication, patient wellness education and counseling, and patient referral to other health care professionals.
