Visual Social Work
Visual Social Work Graduate Certificate
This certificate offers a unique approach for understanding, communicating about, intervening and positively impacting complex social justice issues. It is designed for students not satisfied with a purely theoretical or conceptual understanding of human problems.
This personalization of social issues recasts previous notions of witness and testimony by calling on the viewer to engage and empathize with the personal story of the subject through their own self-representation. Big-picture issues are made real through the direct connection with the subject's experience.
Maximize Your MSW
Through the core curriculum of the MSW program, you may have already completed 6 of the units you need for a certificate. Adding on a graduate certificate — designed to enhance your skills and knowledge base for specific expertise — will allow you to stand out in the social work specialization that interests you.
Current students in the Master in Social Work Degree Program are eligible for any graduate certificate of their choosing.
