Today's family caregivers are diverse, and studies have shown a statistically significant improvement in patient satisfaction when they receive comprehensive team-based care. The Interprofessional Education Caregiving Certificate (IPECC) addresses both of these factors. It provides social work and health affairs students and professionals with interprofessional education and team-based care experiences to prepare them for collaborative practice with diverse caregivers.

This certificate prepares students and professionals to engage in culturally responsive, evidence-based and trauma-informed interdisciplinary team-based care. It'll help prepare you to enter the healthcare workforce collaborative practice ready to work with diverse caregivers.

During this certificate, you'll:

  • Gain an understanding of contributions, roles and responsibilities of social work and allied health disciplines.
