Stronger Community Begins with You
Community well-being starts with taking care of yourself. Show how you reconnect and stay grounded with yourself and others by sharing a selfie. By taking part, you contribute to a more connected and supportive community of social work students, faculty, and staff. It is important now, more than ever, to connect with each other during these uncertain times.

Featured Monthly Celebration
Juneteenth: Thursday, June 19, 2025
“Let's make Juneteenth a commemorative, not of the horrific institution our country embraced, but rather as a showcase of the strength in the American spirit to recognize wrong and set about making it right. In this same spirit America moves ahead today in leveling playing fields and achieving ever greater equality. Let us celebrate all that Juneteenth teaches us about our country's greatness in our use of the heart to hear and to learn and to work together for all that is good and just.” - John Albuquerque
Juneteenth is the oldest celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States and is nationally celebrated. Juneteenth was originally named African American Emancipation Day. Present day, Juneteenth is a day to celebrate African American freedom, emphasize education and achievement, and commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.
