Biography
Prior to USC, Jennifer Tran was a family nurse practitioner at a private practice clinic in Sierra Madre, CA. She primarily worked in primary care with the adult and geriatric populations. Prior to nursing, Tran was a behavior therapist for autistic children. She then pursued her nursing interest, earning her bachelor's, master's, and PhD from Azusa Pacific University.
Currently, her clinical practice is in street medicine, serving the homeless community. She also serves as a family nurse practitioner in the United States Navy Reserve Nurse Corps. Tran's passion is to help the underserved, teach, mentor nurses and continue her research on homelessness and the mental health of military veterans.
Tran is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the California Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Western Institute of Nursing.
