All services at the SDP-Keck Human Rights Clinic are free of charge.
Our core service is providing forensic psychological evaluations to corroborate asylum seekers’ claims. Having both a psychological forensic evaluation along with a medical forensic evaluation makes it eight (8) times more likely to win their asylum case than those who apply without them.
SOCIAL JUSTICE
Members of the SDP-Keck Human Rights Clinic advocate on behalf of asylum seekers by providing pro bono forensic medical and psychological evaluations to corroborate claims of maltreatment.
EDUCATION
Medical and Master of Social Work students are given the opportunity to assist with forensic evaluations and report drafting, allowing students to gain experience as advocates for health and human rights. Students also learn about global issues and cultural competence through assisting with these examinations.
TRAINING
The SDP-Keck Human Rights Clinic hosts training sessions for physicians and mental health providers to gain the skills necessary to perform forensic evaluations.
