Tuition & Fees
Enrolled students are charged tuition and fees each semester. Tuition charges vary each semester based on the number of units you are enrolled in. Tuition and fees are subject to change each year and historically increase every year.
Cost of attendance is determined by the USC Financial Aid Office and will reflect tuition, all mandatory fees and, in some cases, certain allowances for living expenses.
2026-2027 Academic Year Tuition Rates
All estimates below are based on 2026-2027 tuition rates. Rates are subject to change at any time.
For the 2026-2027 academic year, tuition for one semester is:
- $2,322 per unit for students enrolled in 1-14 units.
- $34,823 flat unit rate for students enrolled in 15-18 units.
The estimated total tuition for both the 4-semester and the 6-semester ISW MSW program is $111,442.

Admitted students are required to pay a nonrefundable $500 commitment deposit to secure their place in the program, which will be applied toward tuition.
Fees
All units and fees are charged per semester. Mandatory fees do not include books or housing. Fees are subject to change at any time and may differ depending on start date.

A one-time $175 MPI Tech Fee is required for insurance and software use. $80 of the fee is for malpractice insurance and $95 is for InPlace software use. This fee will be itemized in the first semester tuition.

The Student Transportation Fee only applies to students attending classes on-campus. Online (VAC) students will not be charged this fee unless they register to attend any classes on-campus. Please visit the university's Student Transportation Fee site for more detailed information.
