Biography
Rosemary Alamo is a licensed clinical social worker, with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC). She holds a Doctor of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University. Alamo is an associate teaching professor at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and co-leads the Social Work and Public Safety Collaborative at USC, a program that collaborates with the legal system to provide a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to serving communities through support, education, training and services.
Alamo has over 28 years of professional experience in diverse settings, including health care, schools, public safety, community-based organizations, and public child welfare. Her career has focused on promoting wellness, health and mental health along with building appropriate trauma-informed infrastructures that support them. Alamo serves as a forensic expert and consultant at the local and national levels on reimagining public safety.
She serves as the chair of the board of councilors for the Amy King Dundon-Berchtold University Club of USC, and as a faculty co-advisor for the USC NASW Unit and the Forensic Social Work Caucus.
