Social Work Librarian Appointed to Academic Group's Leadership Team
January 09, 2012 / by Nathan MastersJade Winn of the USC Libraries has been appointed vice chair/chair elect of the California Library Association's Academic Interest Group. The group provides a forum for discussing issues related to academic librarianship at the post-secondary level.
Winn, who holds both a Master of Library and Information Science degree and doctorate in education, is the head of education and social work library services for the USC Libraries. Last year, with funding from a Dean of the USC Libraries Challenge Grant, Winn produced a series of video tutorials about library services.
"Jade is a dynamic speaker, researcher and librarian, who many of you may have heard present at various conferences," said Sandra A. Vella, the current chair of the Academic Interest Group. "She will be a valuable, experienced addition to our leadership team."
