Social Worker Assistant

1. Performs assignments as trained and directed by social worker.
2. Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively, expresses ideas clearly, listens actively and follows appropriate channels of communications.
3. Document all treatments on the same day the services were provided.
4. Providing treatment to participants under the guidance of the Social Worker, and the care plan developed by the Social Worker.
5. Leading participants in problem oriented discussion groups and task-oriented committees.
6. Documentation of all social services provided by the Social Work Assistant (under the supervision of the Social Worker).
7. Performing other duties as required by the administrator, Program Director or Social Worker.

1. Bachelor's degree in the social sciences or related fields.
2. The Social work assistant will provide the center with a health examination, signed by a physician, and a TB clearance, which is not more than 12 months prior to employment or within seven days of employment and shall provide the center a current certificate of CPR and First Aid training, or shall complete training within six-
months of employment.
3. Is able to read, speak and write English fluently.
4. Physically capable both of performing the required duties and of assisting frail elderly and disabled adults, as necessary.
