Job Description

Job purpose

Responsible for providing a wide variety of individual, family, and group therapy; including but not limited to clinical assessment, treatment planning, collateral, crisis intervention, and advocacy services to families, children, and other clients in accordance with their specific therapeutic needs.

Duties and responsibilities

Develops and coordinates a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of clients presenting mild, moderate to severe social or mental behavior problems. Involves client and/or family in treatment planning as appropriate.
Provides a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment plan coordinating with other medical staff.
Complies with agency productivity standards and maintains an appropriate caseload to reach the weekly expectation of client contact and budgeted hours.
Continually assess the needs and symptoms of clients and families formulating psychosocial diagnosis, gathering history, and determining the most appropriate method(s) of providing treatment/evidence based practice.
Provide services in the community or in the field consistent with program and funding source contractual requirements.
Maintain a client file to level of requirements mandated in agency policy and completes documentation in a timely manner.
Display sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of the clients and families served.
Maintain professional relationship with clients, staff, and other outside stake holders at all times.
Meet Agency requirements regarding billing for reimbursable services; consistently provide services in keeping with all programmatic and contractual requirements.
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings to provide input towards program development and staff training.
Review and maintain audit ready standards and peer audit.

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Psychology or related field.
Must be licensed-eligible, i.e., board-registered AMFT, ASW, MSW, OR Licensed professional: LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist. Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
Experience working with dual diagnosed/co-occurring patients with both a substance use disorder and a mental illness.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of social, cultural, and intergenerational dynamics of Asian immigrants and refugees.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record.
Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to pass health, fingerprint, and DMV clearance.
