The Inpatient Therapist is responsible for providing mental health services to assigned patients in an individual and/or group setting within our Behavioral Health and Detox Units. The Inpatient Therapist assesses, evaluates and provides services in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Accesses patients on intake, as needed. Completes clinical documentation within established time frames using the electronic health medical record system. Attends weekly Treatment Team meetings and presents on each assigned patient. Works with the interdisciplinary team to create, personalize and update all Treatment Plans and other necessary documentation while assuring that plans are consistent with hospital policy, state licensing regulations and Joint Commission accreditation requirements. Serves as a liaison with other professionals and agencies involved with patient’s care.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work or Marriage Family Therapy
De-escalation certification/current CPI upon hire
Computer Proficiency and Literacy
Knowledge of CMS, Medicare/Medi-Cal
Familiarity of Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
Ability to facilitate and lead interdisciplinary rounds
Preferred Qualifications:
Current California LMFT, LCSW, or PhD preferred
Current CPR
One year of post Master’s clinical experience in a mental health setting with group therapy experience
Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
