Job Description

The Venice Family Clinic provides primary medical and mental health care to the community of Los Angeles. Within the clinic is a robust Behavioral Health program that houses social workers, domestic violence specialists, substance use staff and case management. This Clinical Social Worker will be a therapist for a comprehensive early childhood program. This includes providing clinical interventions using home-based infant mental health treatment with prenatal parents, and postpartum infant-caregiver dyads to support healthy attachment and development. Work can include crisis intervention and will also consist of collaboration with case management and medical providers. Candidate will focus on BH interventions and touches throughout our pre/postnatal program. This therapist works closely with the Pediatric Case Manager to provide comprehensive and collaborative care with outside agencies to support families’ SDOH needs.

Qualifications

Graduation with Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Social Welfare.
CA License eligible (registered with the BBS as an Associate Clinical Social Worker and accruing hours towards licensure) or CA State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Excellent oral communication skills and advanced oral Spanish communication skills.
Demonstrated work experience with underserved populations, and with providing individual, family and group therapy.
Skill at assessing psychological needs of low income population.
Working knowledge of California abuse reporting laws.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team.
Knowledge of community mental health and social services, and skill at developing treatment and case management plans.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs.
