Outreach and Recruitment--lead efforts in identifying and engaging middle-school-aged foster youth for our program.
Build and maintain strong relationships with foster care agencies, schools, community organizations, and other key stakeholders, including cultivating and growing partnerships with middle school Pupil Services and Attendance (PSA) Counselors and Specialized Student Services (SSS) Counselors.
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective families, providing clear and compassionate guidance throughout the stratforward enrollment process.
Assess children and families to identify their needs, resources, and potential challenges.
Oversee wraparound services for the youth and their families, coordinating comprehensive support services to address a wide range of needs.
Connect families with appropriate community resources and services to support their needs.

A social worker would be an excellent fit for this role, as their expertise in supporting children and families and thier familiarity of the systems involved makes a significant difference. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Freelance Children's Social Worker to join our team in a flexible capacity. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families while enjoying autonomy and work-life balance.
Experience working with foster youth and a deep understanding of the challenges they face (required).
Experience working with Los Angeles Unified School District and the Department of Children and Family Services (required).
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field (required).
Active social work licensure and relevant certifications (desired).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse groups.
Familiarity with outreach methodologies and recruitment best practices.
A passion for supporting vulnerable families and advancing social equity.
