Reporting directly to a Licensed Clinician Supervisor, and under the supervision of a Licensed Clinician Supervisor, the Associate Clinician (AC) I/II will provide mental health services, including but not limited to individual and/or group counseling, clinical intake/evaluation, crises intervention, therapeutic activities, community presentations, and clinical case management. The AC I/II will gain supervised clinical hours for licensure while providing the appropriate level of behavioral health services and substance use disorder services for Wombat MHS clients.
The AC I/II will provide services identified through a biopsychosocial assessment and promote health and wellness through services, advocacy, and education. The AC I/II will consult with behavioral health providers regarding treatment modalities, case studies, interventions, and client care. The AC I/II is responsible for implementing treatment techniques for resolving issues identified in the treatment plan. Provides therapeutic skill building services to patients as measured by supervision, direct observation, and/or functional behavior assessments.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with solid organizational skills, strong communication skills, comfortable with learning and utilizing new software and technologies, as well as the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
AC I:
-Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, or Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT), or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
-Current, valid registration number in appropriate behavioral health field.
-0 to 1,500 hours of clinical supervision accrued toward licensure.
Other Requirements
For AC II:
-Meets all Associate Clinician I qualifications.
-Two (2) full years of supervised work experience in the behavioral health field or 1,500 hours of clinical supervision accrued toward licensure, whichever is later.
