Webinar: Innovative Uses of Technology in Advancing Social Services

Exclusive to USC Social Work alumni, this webinar features three guest speakers who will share how the use of technology has helped to advance their work in the areas of HIV prevention, using computers to help families in need become economically self-sufficient, and providing mental health care for inner-city at-risk youth.
USC School of Social Work Panelists:
Eric Rice, Assistant Professor
Professor Rice specializes in social network theory, social network analysis, and the application of social network methods to HIV prevention.
Ingrid Estrada, Alumna
Estrada worked with the Los Angeles Opportunities Industrialization Center to evaluate its Computers for Families program, which puts computers and Internet access in homes and provides computer literacy training to those in need.
Jabari Evans, Current Student
Evans recently performed his field practicum at Ada S. McKinley Community Services Inc. on Chicago's South Side. As a client advocate, Jabari used new technologies in telehealth to connect clinicians with youth patients in the deep inner-city.
