Dr. David Cordova of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine will be visiting the school to give a presentation on Latino populations with substance abuse problems.
Cordova is currently an NIH postdoctoral research fellow at the Miller School of Medicine. His dissertation focused on Latino populations with substance abuse problems, and he has current clinical experience and special training in parent management using storytelling for empowerment. He has 12 publications with three first-authored papers, as well as five papers under review with two first authorships. He has received numerous awards and grants and has given multiple presentations at national conferences.
