Join Dr. Kristen Zaleski in a virtual showcase highlighting the Suzanne Dworak-Peck/Keck Human Rights Clinic.
Participate in an interactive discussion on how social justice and human rights are inextricably linked within the US immigration system. This session will overview topics of gender-based violence, human rights abuses, and asylum law in the United States. Attendees will understand the role of forensic mental health assessments in the immigration justice system and understand its important place for social workers in advocating for human rights. The showcase will conclude with examples of successful advocacy from the Human Rights Clinic MSW program and address how you can learn more about this flagship direct practice center.
