The IPV Revolution: Discovering the Transformative Power Within Us
Friday, October 25, 2019
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM PDT
USC Montgomery Ross Fisher Building (MRF) 340 & Livestream
669 W 34th Street
Los Angeles, CA 90089

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness and LGBT History Month, join the NASW USC Unit for an evening of community healing through an exploration of the transformative power of and within LGBTQ+ and communities of color impacted by intimate partner violence (IPV). Hear first-hand accounts from our featured speakers, each of whom will shed light on various aspects of IPV as it relates to their multiple social identities and/or the identities of the communities they engage in their work. Through storytelling, spoken word and an analysis of the systems that impact LGBTQ+ and communities of color, we hope to create a dialogue that will build awareness in your practice, increase connection and uplift community/macro solutions.
In-person registration is $10 (including 2 CEUs for LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, or LEPs provided by NASW-CA) and $5 for students, which includes the program, a light dinner and access to resource tables and local agencies prior to and after the event. Livestream/webinar registration is free.
Presented by Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention and Services (RSVP) in USC Student Health, the NASW-USC Unit, Trauma Informed LA, the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work Alumni Association and Queer Alliance Social Work Caucus.
