With so many clinicians needing to adapt to online platforms to provide services, this workshop is for mental health professionals of all experience levels who either are currently providing online groups or are interested in expanding to incorporate groups into their practice. Using an experiential process, attendees will learn how to facilitate a group using Zoom. This will involve members sharing some of their personal and professional challenges related to COVID-19. The facilitator will show members how to effectively utilize the features of Zoom to enhance the group process. Participants are encouraged to at least have a basic understanding of Zoom (don't worry, you don't need to be an expert).
Learning Objectives:
Learn how to use Zoom features to enhance feedback and participation.
Learn how to support rapport building amongst participants using the platform.
Learn strategies to support the safety of group members during the meeting.
Identify strategies for engaging all members during a session.
