The 2015 Orange County Public Safety and Reentry Conference

In 2013, more than 58,000 individuals were released from Orange County jails. With the recent passage of Proposition 47, many more will be reentering our communities. Will they be ready to successfully reintegrate into community life? This conference will focus on multisystemic approaches to increase public safety and decrease recidivism, and strengthen the efforts of those who work among high-risk populations and the formerly incarcerated.
Workshop topics include trauma informed care for traumatized youth; the impact of Proposition 47; community-based interventions and street outreach; the challenges and successes of reentry; substance abuse; and restorative justice.
