Join us at the first-ever Students of Color and Allies Policy Forum (SCAPF) at the University of Southern California. The event will be a space for graduate students who are working on policy, planning, development and social work to learn about and discuss issues of race, class and social justice. SCAPF is jointly coordinated by student leaders at the Sol Price School of Public Policy and the School of Social Work.

The Policy Forum will include:

  • Prominent policy and social work professionals as speakers and panelists addressing how race, class and social justice play a role in this work
  • A workshop on how to apply this lens in our work as advocates and allies
  • A hands-on, real-world case study by a nonprofit organization that will allow participants to engage in these issues
  • Student poster exhibition highlighting student work, which will give students of color and students interested in topics related to underserved/underrepresented populations the chance to showcase their work in a supportive professional environment
  • Closing networking event with speakers, students and alumni from the Price School of Public Policy and School of Social Work

All students from the Price School of Public Policy and School of Social Work at USC are welcome to attend, regardless of whether they identify as a student of color or an ally, or want to learn more about how race, class and social justice intersect with policy, planning, development and social work.

Dinner will be provided.

The event is sponsored by:
