Media Education: A Brief Overview and Q&A

Join guest speaker Brooklyn Levine for a talk on media education. Levine, an adjunct lecturer at the USC School of Social Work, is vice president of Media Literacy Now's California chapter and serves as a therapist in Los Angeles. Working with adolescents and adults in clinical practice and in academia, she has become acutely aware of the need for media literacy as a means to cope with mental health issues that arise from a media-saturated world. For most of her clients and students, a therapist's office or a master's level classroom are their first encounters with critical thinking about the media.
