Luncheon: The Process of Healing Perceived From a Mayan World View

The USC Institute for Integrative Health is co-sponsoring a special lunchtime seminar with the USC School of Social Work Research Clusters and the USC Shoah Foundation with speaker Rosalina Tuyuc, a renowned human rights activist and Mayan traditional healer from Guatemala. A Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Tuyuc will discuss traditional healing practices that are culturally relevant for treatment interventions for survivors of extreme trauma with particular respect to the Guatemalan Civil Wars.
