Inaugural Integrative Health Conference

The USC Institute for Integrative Health (USC-IIH) and the Weil Foundation present the inaugural Integrative Health Conference. This daylong interdisciplinary conference will educate students, faculty and community members on the role of common integrative medicine practices, emphasizing the scientific evidence to support these practices. Through keynote addresses, experiential breakout sessions and a research poster symposium, students, health care professionals and other participants will be introduced to a variety of evidence-based integrative health techniques and practices, highlighting the work of USC faculty and staff. This conference will provide a forum for networking with other integrative health care professionals.

Keynote speakers will include Victoria Maizes and Tobi Fishel. Maizes will be presenting her address on "The Art and Science of Vitality" and "Inter-professional education in Integrative Medicine," and Fishel will be presenting "Finding Your Rhythm."

The mission of the USC-IIH is to promote the health and healing of the individuals, families and communities it serves, through the advancement of the clinical practice of integrative health, the science upon which it is based, and the education of health care practitioners and the USC community.

Registration and breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., with the rest of the day's events occurring afterwards.

Casual attire is acceptable, and a continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Parking will be located at the Biggy Street Parking Structure on the corner of Zonal Avenue and Biggy Street. Price is $12.00 per day.
