Implementation of Needs Assessment of Publicly Funded Substance Abuse Treatment Programs

Substance-use disorder is among the leading causes of disability-adjusted burden of disease in Los Angeles County. Health care reform policies are likely to result in increases in the size of the patient population and changes in the patient characteristics of publicly funded substance abuse treatment programs. Part of the Cross-Cluster Research Seminar Series, this event will feature a presentation by Irene Vidyanti of the USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Vidyanti will highlight an interdisciplinary approach to mixed methods applied to system evaluation to enable proper response planning and ensure timely access to care.
Lunch will be provided.
