Efficient Targeting of Homelessness Prevention Services for Families
Cross-Cluster Seminar with Mary Beth Shinn

Mary Beth Shinn, PhD, professor and chair of the Department of Human & Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University, will discuss reducing rates of homelessness as well as her work in making prevention services more efficient in New York City. Following more than 11,000 families that applied for community-based homeless prevention services over four years, Shinn oversaw the development of a short screening model based on survival analysis, which the city is now using to decide who should receive such services.
RSVP by Friday, Feb. 21. A light lunch will be served.
