The panel will address the primary issue of access to correctional facilities, as well as regulatory criteria, hurdles and variations in social behavioral and medical research. Anne Katz, a clinical professor at the USC School of Social Work and the USC Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging, is the organizer of the USC Center for Excellence in Research (CER) event. CER events provide training and forums for dialogue on research topics spanning all academic disciplines, covering proposal development, book preparation, funding strategies and academic scholarship.
