You are invited to attend Dr. Anne Petersen’s presentation on Child Abuse and Neglect: Recent IOM Report and Broader Developmental Science Context. Dr. Petersen will discuss the recent Institute of Medicine report on child abuse and neglect, whose committee she chaired, in the context of broader developmental science research. The IOM report benefitted especially from extensive research over the past two decades on the consequences of child maltreatment, developmental science advances more generally, and intervention research, especially prevention science. She will also discuss her recommendations for research needed over the next couple decades.
