Celebrating What's Right With the World - University Park Campus

The USC Center for Work and Family Life presents a seminar to support the wellness of faculty and staff.
Psychological, emotional, and physical health and wellness are often shaped not by events in our lives, but how we perceive and respond to them. Join John Gaspari, executive director of the Center for Work and Family Life, who will screen a short film featuring National Geographic photographer Dewitt Jones entitled "Celebrate What’s Right With the World," followed by a brief discussion of the film and its implications for our personal and work lives.
Participants will explore how they might
- Reframe situations to identify options and opportunities
- Find ways around obstacles and constraints
- Shift from a “problem focus” to a “solution focus”
- View change as an opportunity to grow, learn and meet new people
- Have a greater influence on their own future.
The Center for Work and Family Life is USC’s employee assistance, work-life and wellness program. We have locations on both UPC and HSC campuses. All services are a benefit of employment at USC, strictly confidential and completely free of charge.
