Join Dean Marilyn Flynn and USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work alumni, students, faculty and friends as we say a fond farewell to the San Diego Academic Center on Thursday, June 8, 2017 with a reception at 6:00 p.m. and program 7:00 p.m.

Located 20 miles north of San Diego in Rancho Bernardo, the San Diego Academic Center (SDAC) served as the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work's San Diego campus, offering courses for students pursuing a Master of Social Work, many of whom are veterans, active-duty soldiers or military spouses.

Students and instructors enjoyed a working relationship with Camp Pendleton, the major West Coast base of the U.S. Marine Corps, as well as the VA Medical Center and other government, health and social services agencies in the area. The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work has long recognized the growing need to train social workers in mental health services for veterans and their families, and the academic center’s proximity to such a large military population gave students an ideal place to study military social work.

The event will be held at the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa at 3999 Mission Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92109. There will be complimentary self-parking on-site for those who arrive by car.

RSVP by June 1 to secure a spot. Visit http://events.usc.edu/esvp/ and input the code: SDAC.
