Biography

Terri Lee joined the Virtual Academic Center in 2011 as an adjunct practicum faculty member. She taught practice courses and served as an instructor for the Integrative Learning Seminar and the Virtual Practicum. She was also a practicum liaison for students in the community-based practicum courses. 

In 2013, Professor Lee joined the faculty on a full-time basis and member of the Northeast regional faculty team. Two years later, she assumed the role of regional director of the Northeast practicum faculty team.

A licensed clinical social worker, she has 20 years of experience in the field of social work, including mental health, chemical dependency and employee assistance program settings. For 16 years, she managed the internal employee assistance program for an academic medical center in the Chicago area. She has also served as a legal consultant and expert witness. 

Lee received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a concentration in occupational social work and addictions.
