Biography
Debra Waters-Roman is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California. She is currently an associate teaching professor of practicum education at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work where she serves as the program manager for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (LA DCFS) stipend program and also serves as the clinical psychologist for the Trauma Recovery Center at USC Social Work.
Prior to joining USC, Waters-Roman worked for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services for 30 years, providing public child welfare services. In addition, she provides mental health services to trauma survivors of all ages through a community based mental health agency.
Waters-Roman has completed extensive research and conducted trainings in the field of autism, and provides services to individuals on the autism spectrum along with their families.
