Roundtable on Elder Abuse and Maltreatment

You are invited to join the USC Roybal Institute for a virtual roundtable seminar on January 19, 2021 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm (PST) with Dr. XinQi Dong and Dr. Duke Han as they talk with us about the latest research on elder abuse and maltreatment including compounding risk of the COVID-19 pandemic affecting older adults, adults with disabilities, and their families.
XINQI DONG, MD, MPH
Dr. Dong is director of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research (IFH) at Rutgers as well as the inaugural Henry Rutgers Distinguished Professor of Population Health Sciences. Dr. Dong is a strong advocate for advancing population health issues in underrepresented communities worldwide. He has published extensively on the topic of violence prevention. Dr. Dong investigates the intersections of elder abuse, violence, resilience and health outcomes in the United States and China.
S. DUKE HAN, PHD, ABPP-CN
Dr. Han is a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology in clinical neuropsychology, Director of Neuropsychology in the Department of Family Medicine, and a tenured Professor of Family Medicine, Neurology, Psychology, Gerontology and Center on Elder Mistreatment at the University of Southern California. Dr. Han specializes in the study of factors that impact cognition and decision making in aging with a special interest in using novel neuroimaging and statistical approaches to better understand these factors and potential vulnerabilities.
