Sometimes there’s an event that pierces our hearts and we are reminded of or awakened to the injustice in our society. The murders of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd are just those events. People in communities across the country take to the streets to express their outrage and cry out for justice.

We as social workers know that there is significant work needs to be done to make meaningful and lasting change. Those in power can slow or block that change. By being a part of these nationwide protests, we can harness and channel the energy and power to work on collective and collaborative solutions.

Join us for this conversation to share how we feel and what we can do individually and together. Zoom link will be sent approximately 24 hours prior to event.
