Multiple Sclerosis in Hispanics: The Need For Targeted Messaging
A Seminar With Lilyana Amezcua, MD, MS

Lilyana Amezcua is an assistant professor of clinical neurology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and the USC Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center. A focus of her research has been defining characteristics of multiple sclerosis in Hispanics and identifying barriers to treatment in order to serve this population. Both a registry and an observational study have noted that Hispanics are about two years younger at the onset of disease than other North Americans, and that immigrants are at higher risk for disability than U.S. born Latinos.
RSVP by November 12. Lunch provided.
