Chloe E. Bird, PhD, will present as part of the aging research cluster seminar series.
 
Dr. Bird is a senior sociologist at the RAND Corporation, where she studies women’s health and determinants of gender differences in health and health care. She is also a professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Women’s Health Issues. She is principal investigator of a study assessing and mapping gender disparities in quality of care for cardiovascular disease and diabetes among VA patients in California and Texas. Her recent work includes NIH-funded research on the impact of neighborhoods and behaviors on allostatic load, morbidity, and mortality.
