The course will provide an overview of regulations and laws affecting clinical practice including those that pertain to confidentiality (and exceptions to), testimonial privilege, scope of practice, mandatory reporting, informed consent, treatment of minors, record keeping, fee setting, and new media issues. In addition, the training will discuss ethical issues in the therapeutic relationship, engagement and trust issues, treatment planning/interventions, the scope of competence, multiple clients/secrets in the helping relationship, and termination.

The University Consortium for Children and Families (UCCF) is offering a limited number of spaces in courses free of charge exclusively to USC MSW and DSW alumni.

A $50 deposit (plus Eventbrite Fees) will be refunded at the conclusion of the course, pending verification of your attendance. Note: Courses are offered on a one course, per student, per fiscal year basis (July 1 - June 30), so please only register for one course.
