The LCSW examination preparation workshops have been designed to coach you through the LCSW Standard Written and Clinical Vignette examinations.

The LCSW Clinical Vignette examination workshop will review clinical vignettes and practice examinations in one full-day session. This one-day training is an intensive review of essential content related to the LCSW Clinical Vignette examination that will explore test-taking strategies and assessment of the individualized needs of the examinee. This session will also cover major components of the LCSW examination, such as bio-psychosocial assessment and clinical assessment. Particular emphasis will be placed upon the development of a personalized grasp of content material needed for successful completion of the examination. Practice exams will also be used to assist with the application and integration of the material reviewed during the training.

  • Sunday, September 15, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There are also the LCSW Standard Written examination workshops, which will cover the seven major content areas of the LCSW written exam, clinical process, interventions, therapeutic application, and legal and ethical responsibilities in four half-day sessions. The meetings will include homework, small group assignments and study groups over a three-month period (16 hours of instruction). Particular emphasis will be placed upon the development of a personalized grasp of content material needed for the successful completion of the examination.

  • Saturdays March 3, April 7, May 5 and June 2, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Standard Written and Clinical Vignette workshops can be purchased as a package (23 hours of instruction) or separately; both options include workshop materials, continental breakfast, and Web access to review the workshops for a two-month period after each session.

Estela Andujo, an adjunct faculty member at the USC School of Social Work and California State University, Long Beach, will be the instructor for these workshops. She is also director of the outpatient program at Intercommunity Child Guidance Center in Whittier and a contract trainer for the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health and the Child Welfare Training Academics. Dr. Andujo has taught LCSW licensing courses for the past 20 years.
