California Social Work Hall of Distinction Induction 2017
Please join us at the California Social Work Hall of Distinction Induction Ceremony and Reception on October 21, 2017. USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work alumna Dr. Bernice Catherine Harper, MSW '48, will be among the evening's inductees. Dr. Harper is a clinician, educator and researcher who transformed social work and hospice and palliative care. She was instrumental in developing long term program policies which highlighted continuity-of-care, including community and institutional care, and stressed the importance of psychosocial components.
A light buffet reception will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Lobby Lounge, followed by the induction of our honorees at 4:00 p.m. in the Engage Ballroom.
Tickets for this fundraiser are $45 per person ($40 for current NASW members). Opportunities to place a tribute message in the commemorative program, be an event sponsor, and sponsor students to attend are also offered during the registration process. All are welcome. Please share this invitation with your colleagues. A limited quantity of sponsored tickets will be made available to current MSW candidates. Encourage students to contact us at cswa@usc.edu or 213-743-0201 to check availability.
