2016 Edward R. Roybal Memorial Lecture
With Former Surgeon General Richard Carmona

Dr. Richard H. Carmona, who served as the 17th Surgeon General of the United States from 2002-2006, is the distinguished speaker for the 2016 Edward R. Roybal Memorial Lecture. He is currently the Vice Chairman of Canyon Ranch, President of Canyon Ranch Institute and a Distinguished Professor at the University of Arizona.
The USC Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging honors the late Rep. Edward R. Roybal, a visionary leader in establishing aging services and a champion for civil rights and equal justice, at its biennial Edward R. Roybal Memorial Lecture, which is co-hosted by Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard.
Awards will also be presented to Steven P. Wallace of the University of California, Los Angeles, who is the recipient of the 2016 Pearmain Prize for Excellence in Research on Aging, and Jennifer L. Spalding of AltaMed Health Services, who is the recipient of the 2016 USC Roybal Institute Community Partnership Award.
