Refugee Support Services at USC

We are community health workers equipped to provide refugee support through a comprehensive approach for the overall well-being of refugees, with a focus on supporting ORR-eligible refugees, asylees, Ukrainian humanitarian parolees, and victims of trafficking within California.

Utilizing a peer counseling model and proactive community outreach, we offer a range of support services in English, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Russian, including case management, individual peer counseling, wellbeing classes, support groups, skill-building workshops, and resource linkage. 

We are currently accepting eligible clients. Please reach out to us if you have questions. 

Professionals can complete a referral using the button below. Alternatively, professionals can provide the client's name and phone number when they contact us, and we will follow up with the client within 48 hours and screen for eligibility.

Participant eligibility 

  • All clients must be age 12 or older 
  • ORR-eligible refugees - up to 5 years after date of arrival
  • Asylees - up to 5 years after date of granted asylum 
  • Ukrainian humanitarian parolees who entered the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2023 
  • Victims of trafficking - up to 5 years after date of certification letter, eligibility letter, or interim assistance letter from ACF Office On Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) 

Funding is provided by the Cypress Resilience Project, a program of the Public Health Institute, through funding from the California Department of Public Health.
