MOU

Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with International Institutions

China

Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST)
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and Nanjing University of Science & Technology, School of Public Affairs are jointly developing an International Social Work Research Center (ISWC). Both sides engage in cooperation in fields of common interest and develop projects in these fields based on the ISWC.

Beijing Normal University (Masters in Social Work)
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and Beijing Normal University established a Master’s Program in Social Work (MSW) between the two schools. Under this program, students completed fifteen (15) of the USC MSW generalist units at BNU and upon satisfying the USC admission requirements matriculated to USC to complete three semesters (45 units) in their chosen department of the Master’s program.

Beijing Normal University (School of Social Development and Social Policy)
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the Beijing Normal University School of Social Development and Social Policy established a conceptual framework, intended learning outcomes, and related course content for the graduate social work program at BNU, including concentrations appropriate to the Chinese social work employment sector.

Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT)
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and Guangdong University of Technology have established this MOU to recognize the mutual interest in the fields of education, research, training, technology, development, and dissemination of knowledge and recognizing the importance of the role of higher education in promoting international collaboration and increased contribution to social development.

Chongqing University School of Public Affairs
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the Chongqing University School of Public Affairs have collaborated on joint educational and research activities in which visiting scholars travel for the purpose of training in curriculum development and conducting research. The two schools also have extend invitations for attending scholarly and technical meetings as well as national and international conferences.

Peking University (Department of Sociology)
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the Department of Sociology at Peking University have conducted collaborative research in the area of gerontological social work. The research aims have been to provide scientific evidence for social work practice and to expand academic exchange and collaboration in related areas.

Tianjin University of Science and Technology
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and Tianjin University of Science and Technology have conducted comprehensive communication and cooperation based on mutual sharing of resources, mutual reciprocity and mutual benefit. They have made the best use of educational resources in order to accelerate the training of high quality talents for the economic take-off in Tianjin New Binhai Development Area, the construction of Bohai Rim Economic Development Area and for the development of the global economy.

Shanghai Topway Computer Software Inc.
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and Shanghai Topway Computer Software Inc. have collaborated to provide educational curriculum that may be web-based or in DVD format, in the area of social work education for Chinese universities.

Korea

Yonsei University School of Social Welfare
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the School of Social Welfare at Yonsei University established cooperative programs beneficial to the respective educational institutions in order to promote the development of joint studies, research and training activities, and other educational programs of mutual interest.

Ewha Woman’s University Graduate School of Social Welfare
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the Graduate School of Social Welfare at Ewha Woman’s University have been cooperating between their respective institutions in academic research and in the exchange of personnel in order to contribute to the development of scholarship in the two institutions.

National Taiwan University (College of Social Sciences)
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the College of Social Sciences, National Taiwan University are engaging in cooperation in fields of common interest and are developing joint projects in these fields.

Philippines

University of the Philippines
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the College of Social Work and Community Development, University of the Philippines are engaging in areas of collaboration in joint research activities, exchange of students, exchange of scholars and faculty members, and exchange of scholarly publications.

United Kingdom

Kings College London
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck of Social Work and King’s College London are facilitating academic, research and program development cooperation between the two institutions in order to gain mutual benefit.

Canada

Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR)
The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research are enhancing the lives of military personnel, veterans and their families by harnessing the global capacity for health research.
