Germany Education and Training Program: International Service for Migration and Refugees

The Education and Training Program in International Service for Migration and Refugees is designed for MSW students/graduates who want to gain experience overseas and learn about social work in an international setting in Germany.

The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and University of Applied Sciences in Kehl, Germany have entered into an Inter-institutional agreement to cooperate in the exchange of students, faculty and staff in the Erasumus + Programme co-funded by the European Union. The programme supports transnational partnerships among eduation, training and youth institutions and organizations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of education and work in order to tackle the skill gaps facing Europe. 


Two students and/or graduates from the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work will be selected to participate in the programme that will place them in German institutions and/or oganizations that are working with immigrants and refugees during the summer of 2020 (May 15th – August 14th 2020). Funding provided will support students round-trip travel to Germany and housing subsidy for up to 63 days for a total of 3.285 € - Euro ($3,623).


Participating students/graduates upon successful completion of the programme will receive a certifcate from the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work in Education and Training Programme in International Service for Migration and Refugees.
