Biography

George Orras joined the adjunct faculty at the school in 2002, where he teaches courses on human behavior in the social environment and social work in the business setting. He has nearly 30 years of experience in administration, marketing, mental health program development and direct mental health service provision. Since 2014, he has served as president and CEO of Windstone Health Services, which provides behavioral health care to more than 400,000 geriatric Medicare Advantage and commercial members throughout Southern California. His responsibilities include oversight of all departments, program development, business expansion efforts, and the creation and development of implementation plans for new contracts. In addition, he provides supervision in administrative/clinical performance and utilization management as well as in creating and developing new behavioral health strategies and community-based clinical program integration. Previously, he was national vice president of clinical operations for Value Behavioral Health’s public sector division. From 1992 through 1997, he served as president and chief operating officer of Newport PsychCare/Pacific Behavioral Management. Before that, he was vice president of marketing and operations for Newport Harbor Health Care, Inc., a child and adolescent hospital and residential facility in Orange County, California. He has also independently contracted with a variety of regional and corporate companies throughout the United States.
